Having lived with Type 1 Diabetes from a young age I recognise how important it is to raise awareness and educate people about the nature of the disease. I couldn’t have achieved everything that I have on and off the football field if it wasn’t for the support of my family, team mates and mentors. Initiatives like the Great Australian Bite are a great way to generate much needed funds which go a long way towards managing Diabetes and hopefully one day finding a cure.
